I'm sure it will help. My cable tranny feels pretty slopy, I'm about to get new bushings for my shifter.

This is my first cable tranny though, someone told me they just aren't as smooth as hydros, is this true?

well, it will get rid of some of the slop. but the u-joint in the shifter can't be replaced without welding, so you can't replace all the bushings.

There are 2 bushings that you can replace that hold the linkage to the underside of the car that can help quite a bit with slop. Also, there is the trick of wrapping the clutch cable bushing that is on here somewhere.....

Energy Suspension sells the kit, and it's relatively cheap...$11. This is where I buy all of my ES stuff
