Transmission pulling out of gear
Okay i was driving my car, it would pop itself out of 5th and i realize that my clutch engages when the pedal is almost all the way up. When i adjust the clutch cable, would i turn the adjuster, would i turn it clockwise or counterclockwise in order for it to engage more in the middle.
just adjust it and then get in the car and push the pedal. if you cant feel it that way then drive it. it should only take about 10 minutes to readjust it.
with a cable clutch you should have about a half of an inch in slop in the pedal so when you adjust it you should be able to move the pedal with your hand.. you want to turn the adjuster clockwise if your lookin at it from the top. hope that helps
my car gears use to pop out of gear, man dont listen to what some other person say. you are low in transmission fluid, just double check the level of fluid in it and refill, you could use motor oil 2
Yea, its a lot cheaper and quicker to just refill the trans fluid than to just assume the synchros are bad and replace the trans. Turn the adjuster clockwise to raise the engagement point, and counter-clockwise to put it closer to the floor.
