Icon3 87 Civic Si Help..

I was trying down the road today and stopped to get gas.. I pulled out and the shifter was working fine... When I got to the exit I needed, it suddenly wouldn't let me gear down.. Now it is hard to get into gear.. Once you're going it's fine but still doesn't want to gear down.. Thinking it's a loose clutch.. Anyone have any ideas?

Checked the cable and it seems the clutch still works somewhat...

I played with the adjustments today... I started and drove it a bit then it worked fine... After a little while it started not wanting to go into gear again..

huh. i think it may have something to do with the cable then. make sure the clutch pedal itself did not snap.

i had the same problem with my 90 hatch. it turned out that the fluid level in the trans was very low. i had to double clutch for every gear. check the fluid level. if the gears aint properly lubricated, the gears wont mesh nicely

I had the same problem... clutch disc springs came out... be prepared to redo the clutch.
