Default b16 p30 / B18b LS / VTEC head gasket...

what gasket will work that covers all of the holes on both surfaces?

I just took off the head from the block to check on an oil leak, and it turns out the head gasket only covers half of like HALF of the holes!! what a waste of money and time....but oh well, at least i found the problem...

so, any suggestions from experience? I was gonna go with b16 gasket, where all of the oil/fluid leaks down through the head, into the block, so if there is any blockage it would be on the block side and not interere with drainage causing any more leaks.....

thanks in advance.

No dont go with any vtec gasket, then the coolant/oil holes wont line up @ the block, they will only line up @ the head causing all the fluids coming up from block to leak.

I am using a LS gasket on my LSVTEC and have had NO problems @ all, hope my .02 helps ya...

yeah i went with that cometic high pressure head gasket ls/vyec gasket again. turns out it lines up the same exact way the OEM LS one does, so thats not the problem.

I sealed along all 7 oil passageways, and around the outside corner of the gasket with a solid coat all the way around. theres no way it should leak now.

ill let u guys know how it turns out after i start if up in a few days. i overtightened the oil press sensor on the head and got to replace that first, but will keep updates on here.

thanks fo the help thus far.
