Default Difference in Rocket m22xx and m22x cams?

Everyone discusses the m22 rocket cams but I know rocket came out with the m22xx cams anyone running those? They are like 100 more retail on bctuned.com. Wonder if its a big difference from the m22x cams

my understanding is that the m22xx's have much more agressive primaries then m22x's. & the m22x's already have pretty agressive primaries.

you have a 207 race primary on the M22xx, same lift and duration as the M22x.

I have special pricing for HT members...the prices on my site are the minimum advertised prices; the lowest prices below retail allowed by the manufacturers to us dealers to post...so I can definitely cut you a deal

All the profiles available for the B series, are available for the H series. However, our supplier for cam blanks is currently out of stock.

What type of compression is needed to run m22xx? Above 12.0?

What compression is needed for the m22x? I searched m22x, got this thread, a fs and a wtb.

11.5 for a 1.6L, 11 for a 1.8L.

so would ctr piston in B18C5 is too high of compression or is it going to be fine?

soooo.. B18C5 + CTR pistons + RM M22xx +RC310cc + RM chip (Hondata basemap) + ANR standard header with merge collector(2.5") + 2.5 catback = 210+ whp???

Well if you have access to high octane gas so you can run with 12.7:1 CR then CTR's would be fine, but then you could very well run the m24's instead.

We recommend at least 13:1 with a 1.8 motor on M24's. That would be close, but it would depend on the powerband you are looking for. You can run on pump gas with 12.7, but you will need to take it to an experienced tuner. Also, you won't be able to be too aggressive witht the ignition maps at that compression either.

Using the numbers i gave, you can extrapolate for just about any displacement. For every .2L in displacement, the recommended minimum compression goes down by 5 points.

The M22x has one big and one smaller primary lobe, on the M22xx they are both big ones.

to put it in laymens terms

the m22x profile is paired into this sequence [ 1-3-2 ] (1) being the smallest lobe and (3) being the largest (vtec)

the m22xx profile is paired into this sequence [ 2-3-2 ]

hope that helped
