NOOB alert: Do I need a camber kit?
98 LX 4 cyl, bought Neuspeed Sport and Tokico blues. Stock wheels. Wondering if I will need a camber kit. Local shop thinks so, Neuspeed says maybe, and if so only for rear. Anybody have an opinion?
Btw, car is daily driver, just want a better ride. If I was 20, not 38, boy would I love to get racing. Sigh. But I can have fun as I bring the kiddies to school!

The general idea is 2.0" is when you will need a camber kit. But in reality it's up to you. I will tell you if it's even close you might want to go ahead and get it so you don't chew up the tread on your tires.
how much do the Neuspeed Sport springs lower the car? Have you installed them yet? If so, have you gotten an alignment? If you've had an alignment, what was the specs?
I had Eibach Pro-Kits with Tokico Blues on my 95 EX. The Pro-Kits say they lower the car about 1.2" and I didn't have a camber kit. I think I had about -1 deg camber if I remember correctly. I would go in and have the tire rotated and balanced every other oil change. That kept tire wear pretty even.
If you don't want to risk tearing up your tires faster then you might just want to get a camber kit and then get an alignment. Either way, make sure you get an alignment after installing the springs/struts.

Neuspeed says "Lowers approx. 1.8 (F) & 1.7 (R)". Haven't got 'em in yet, but probably this weekend. Friend is a mechanic, doing it at home, so will have to take it to a shop for alignment. Since I have the stock rims and reasonably worn tires, I am thinking leave as-is, see how bad the wear is, and get the camber when I get new rims/tires.
Has anybody tried Ingalls or other camber kits?
Thanx for not flaming my ***! I know the noob is not popular...but I try to research first before I insert my foot in my mouth.

I have Neuspeed Sport springs w/ Tokico Illuminas on my '99 EX 4-cyl. My front camber is right at -1 degree, and has shown no excessive wear for the past 3 years. The rear, however, was around -2.5 to 3 degrees. I pulled a rear camber kit off my friend's wrecked Accord and put it on mine. I don't remember what brand it is, but it replaces 2 control arms for each side, adding camber adjustment (obviously) but also more toe adjustment.
My opinion in a nutshell, based on having essentially the same car and springs:
Get a camber kit for the rear, but not the front. Especially since it sounds like the car is just a daily driver...
Just remember, toe is what really wears the tires out. Camber doesn't affect tire wear as much as many people believe. (Not saying it doesn't at all, but, well, you know...)

FYI, I run neuspeed sports with stock struts on my 95. Not sure if the geometry is the same, but if I don't rotate (front to back), I'll get coniderably more wear on my front insides. With rotation, everything is acceptable.
according to my alignment sheet i have about -2.5 degrees of negative camber on the front and -1.5 in the back with skunk 2 springs. I don't have a camber kit and my tire wear isn't bad. It's toe wear that eats up your tires.

One thing to consider also is that aftermarket struts also drop the car slightly, If I were you I would put a camber kit on front and rear.
