newbert clutch question
i dont really knwo how to put this into words, so bare with me if im vauge and using improper terminology. ok im driving around, stoplights stopsigns and such, and my clutch has an engagement point right in the middle, feels good, its pretty short, easy drivin, life is sweet. but every so often, daily, the engagement point gets huge... and really early in the pedal depression. ill have the clutch all the way to the floor, and let it out 1/8135 of an inch and the car starts to creep, but thats all itll do, until i hit the real point somewhere in the middle of the pedal motion range. its kinda frustrating cause i have to keep on the throttle for quite a while. its like it only happens after hard driving, but i dont think thats the case, cause i dont drive hard often... i dont know, i hope that made sense. is this normal? is something "broken"? am i just whining? anyway its super annoying and it will just happen outta no where. thanks in advance for your help honda-tech super geniuses.

If your fluid is low, I'd recomend you stick your head up under the dash on the driver's side and take a look at the firewall where the clutch master cylinder piston comes through. Your symptoms might suggest an ailing clutch master cylinder (easy DIY fix, by the way). If you see runs or drips of fluid on the firewall there under the dash, it's time for a new master cylinder.
ok checked the fluid. its brown as sin, is that normal? next, checked the master cyl. its greasy, but its not like dripping, but yes, there is a little bit of fluid where the shaft comes out. hope that helps the diagnosis. help meeeeee

He/She pretty much summed it up. Change out the slave cylinder first and properly bleed it.

CAUTION:
· Do not spill brake fluid on the car, it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
· Plug the end of the clutch pipe with a shop towel to prevent brake fluid from coming out.
1. Disconnect the clutch pipe from the slave cylinder.

2. Remove the slave cylinder from the clutch housing.

3. Install the slave cylinder in the reverse order of removal. NOTE: Make sure the boot is installed on the slave

4. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system:
Attach a hose to the bleeder screw, and suspend the hose in a container of brake fluid.
Make sure there is an adequate supply of fluid at the clutch master cylinder, then slowly pump the clutch pedal until no more bubbles appear at the bleeder hose.
Refill the clutch master cylinder with fluid when done.
Use only DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid. We recommend Genuine Honda Super Duty DOT 3
Confirm clutch operation, and check for leaking fluid.

thanks so much for the help guys. a few last questions. So looks liek the slave cyl is definnitley bad right... how much is this new one gonna run me. and umm... the pictures dont work. thats it, thanks again
hmmmmmmm maybe ill do it tonite... last question is the fluid supposed to look so freaking brown. i mean it was so brown i didnt even know what to think. ive never seen a fluid be that brown on purpose.
