Ls/vtec dowel pin not fitting...need help asap
I just got my headgasket and golden eagle dowel pins. I put the dowel pins on the exhaust side. THen i slide the head on and it has a pretty big gap where the pins meet. First time i had this together I had different dowel pins and had them on the intake side with no problem. Now since I have this golden eagle ones I am have all kinds of problems. What am I doing wrong?
hit it with a rubber hammer....solves everything. Actually Ive had to do it several times on my gsr to get it to sit right.

and only use a rubber hammer. Anything else will be uncivilized.

Here is a picture of the headgasket. The bottom left and bottom right hand corners are where the
dowel pins go if you decided to use this method. As you can see, the holes on the
headgasket don't need to be modified. In some applications, the two brass rings labeled
'REMOVE' on a headgasket need to be removed, otherwise the head will sit on top of those and
will not seal. Be absolutely sure you remove the two on the intake side only.
