This year, the ITR Expo 2002 will be held in South Haven, Michigan.
If the second ITR Expo loses as much money as the first one in California did (several thousand dollars), then there probably won't be a third ITR Expo.
Wrong. Most ITR's are NOT in California; about 28 percent are. Most of the ITR's in the States (more than half) are east of the Mississippi River. And that doesn't even include all those dragons in Nebraska!

So which of you guys is willing to pay several thousand dollars to cover the losses if it loses as much money as the one last year did?
With ~50 cars it still lost?...Well that was still one of the best weekends of the year, but I'm sorry it lost money.
I'll just hope TCRA will put on a event in Cali this summer and that some of us will show. It won't be called Cali ITR Expo 2002, but if we all show up it might as well be.
-> http://www.touringcarclub.com/ Anyway, a lot of us here are probably not abandoning the 2002 expo, we could just never go in the first place, due to time, money, or being busy. I would have gone to the 2002 expo if it was in the middle of summer. But since its in May, I can't make it because of my university work.

Yes, let's chill. Let's all understand that folks NOT in California might not appreciate folks IN California wanting to have the second one in a row, without letting anyone else having a chance. Let's also understand that most folks IN California might not want to take the time and expense to drive 2000 miles to this year's ITR Expo in Michigan. Everybody wants it close to home, but it's something we will have to understand the need to share and move around from year to year (assuming we can get enough people to sign up for it to pay for itself).
And for those who live too far away to attend, there are lots of groups holding track events close to home. Those events may not be all ITR's, but you can still go on the track, and even get some of your fellow ITR's to come with you.

Inside sources.
And - in case you're wondering - for NSX's it's even a little higher, 32 percent. And over half of those are east of the Mississippi, too.
California has 15 percent of the Acura dealers (42 out of just under 300) but certain models have higher cars-per-dealer sales in one part of the country than another.
Damn, it's amazing how a few of these California dweebs think the world revolves around them and no one else exists.
