which 4-1 fits ef ?
i own a 91 hatch with a b16...but it seems that my 4-2-1 already has two MEAN dents in it and sits super close to my radiator...and the space between the radiator and block is not much...so who makes a good 4-1 header that will clear...thanks
do not get the jdm 4-1 that thing will be super low.
the only good clearance on a ef is the 4-2-1 style. spark racign loks like it will be pretty good clearance wise. since it doesnt stick out farther than the oil pan.

clearance shouldnt be that much of a problem...my car is not slammed...what did u guys ues to notch in the crossmember...i dont want a jdm itr anyways...
before getting the z-10 crossmember i had to notch the factory one just use a grinder and take a little bit out until proper clearence if i was going to recomend a header for the money it would definitly be a smsp or a hytec my opinion only though

theres a crazy lookin header on this board (cant remember the name-someone help me out) that fits the ef without mods. and if price isnt a factor, im sure the big name guys (RMF, SMSP, hytech, yadi yadi ya.....) can make you one. what kind of setup you runnin?
if ur talkin about the an-r compact..thats the one im currently interested in...unless i can find something better to fit with no modification thats the one i plan on getting...

i paid 530 shipped, but i didnt get it coated, now its rusting pretty good. i dont have another header to compare it to, but its pretty nice though, good power, but the bottom pipe didnt line up too good. i had to have a muffler shop bend it-plus it didnt come with a flange.

Do you mean clear the crossmember or gound ? If your worried about the cross member, all I can say is your probably gonna have to cut it.
Anyway you look at it, if you want a nice header that is gonna perform well, your gonna have to cut the crossmember. Check out an-r

yeah the an-r compact is the one im probably gonna get...i was just seeing what else is out there....doesnt the compact fit in the ef without notching the crossmember

I did read but u were complaining about clearance & alot of 4-1's have no ground clearance & will not really clear the cross member without cutting! FYI that header does not only fit an eg!!! does a dc just fit a del sol NO!
so
for u. I could have been a dick & just told u to search but I was trying to help because the spark header had already been tested on a B16

well if it is well designed yes it will perform better not all 4-1 are the same & not all 4-2-1 are the same look at what the spark header made over the kamikaze

im not really tryin to remove my front mount....it looks like im either gonna go with the sparks or an-r compact...does anyone know if the sparks will fit with a full radiator on an ef???
