Default v-tec controller for my gs-r

hey every one okay ive gotta question for you...i was about to bolt up my cat back when i realized their was no 02 censor in the cat. so i was like aright w/e. and as i was puttin the stock cat back on i decided to leave the muffler off. when i cracked it, i noticed it cracked twice,(once at 4,400 and again at 5,800). i was just wondering if i decided to get a get a controller, which one it would change, and how this would effect the other one?

Cracked it???? You me reved it over 5800. The two sounds you are hearing are the secondaries opening and the Vtec kicking in

A Vtec controler would control the vtec or the 5800 one.

Sorry but VTEC crossover is at 4400 RPM on the GS-R (B18C1) and at 5800 is the when the secondaries open up.
