I've shoped around and body shops are charging a lot just to paint this hood. I can buy a brand new carbon fiber hood for the same price as what they are quoting me. So please help me out. If you're local and can paint, I will pay you.

Buy a CF hood and sell that one. It will almost pay for itself.

 

yeah, just get a carbon fiber hood.

 

get a CF and just save that one just in case something happens to the CF one. who cares if its not painted yet, just do it later when you have moolah.

my homie sprays for mercedes dealerships. let me know know what he quotes you. And give me the color code. Depending on how much you want to spend. You can get factory paint. I believe its called glycerian or you can go with ppg paint which is very comparable to factory.

well they're gonna have to paint the bumper & fenders too in order to color-match due to fading, so that's probably why you have a high price quote.

 

his paint looks pretty clean to me... they should be able to color match it.

the paint is new, best quote so far is $200 just to paint the hod

the hood is spray can red right now, ghetto style.

They don't have to blend it if you don't want them to. For every panel they blend into, it costs significantly more. If you just want to paint the hood and the hood only, it should be cheap.

Did you specify that you wanted ONLY the hood painted? They should match your gas cap door and just paint it for anything between $150-300.
