no air from blower
I got an Acoord '90 with 195,000 miles on it................. My Airconditioning unit was working well til last weekend when it suddenly aitn blowin any air at all may the IAr be on or not any reason for this what should i check? i did check on the HEATER blower FUSE under the hood but its fine ... help on this matter its getting HOT here in Michigan lately hwere at 93 and its killin me THANKS
most likely the blower motor took a dump ,,try a little test, with key on . fan on on rt side dash underneath glove box give a few good hand wacks to blower see if it comes on ,if it does motor is junk
if it does not come on you said fuse is ok so you need to chk the 2 wire plug at rt side of blower for power and ground i beleive the colors are yell/black for power and blue/red for ground if you get both motor is junk..
let me know what you find

as for taking blower out,it is not that hard at all.
you need to evacuate a/c system. disconnect linwes from engine compartment at firewall rt side.. remove glove biox, remove evap, disconnect plyugs at right side of blower asembly, , remove 3 nuts that hold blower assembly in place, remove from car, get a motor at autozone pretty cheap.
pay attention at the position of the doors make sure you put them back same place

If you unbolt the right side of the dash you can sneak the blower box out without touching the evaporator.

Do i really need to have A/c evacuated? or just pull out the blower .. purchase one from auto zone and reinstall................. at this time I already removed the glove box and screws supporting the blower and the elec wires at the side of the blower but i cant pull it off should i heater assembly ( beside) the blower to be able to take it off? thanks

before you remove blower assembly you are getting power and ground correct???
Read up Chio suggestion he says you can sneak it out without removing evap to be honest with you i have never tried it that way so i don't know i have always removed evap so ask him on the tips he has to avoid removing evap thus you don't need to evac and recharge .
yo Chio i never thought you could sneak it out but i am going to try your way next time buddy :-)

Like deserthonda says, make sure it's bad before pulling it out.

Yea, it's tight. I pull out the ECU to get a little room at the bottom and start out by moving the front of the box down. Then you have to stretch the right side of the dash a bit (not too far or you'll crack it) as you work it out.

my friend had his die(90lx) and it was one simple little thing. on the passenger side, right below the dash next to the door, there's a connector for the power to the blower. somehow, the connector melted and the connection was broken. we replaced it, and it worked perfect. take a look in that area for a melted 2-wire connector

Make sure the **** isn't broken (the hot to cold ***) they are notorious for breaking and seem like they are turning but they aren't. Just pull the **** off and then pull off the blower **** and try that one on the broken one.
