car wont go above 3400.....at all plz help
ok, well i have a 91 civic dx and it wont go above 3400 rpm and it back fires alot, only codes on it are o2 sensor and TDC/Crank ive unplugged my o2 sensor too. If you could tell me why its doing this i would be very appreciative.

Please dont just to that conclusion just yet. The TDC code is what is causing the problem. You should check for continuity between the ECU and the distributor in the wires FIRST. I forget where on the ecu it is. Also make sure the connection at the distributor and ecu are good, if you need to, resolder the connection at the ecu. If you still have a code after that, then I would get a new distributor. I am 90% sure it will be the distributor that is causing you problems.
