surface rust on rods

Default surface rust on rods

hey everyone. Ive owned some eagle rods for a while, and ive finally ready to use them. But i took them out of the box, and some of them have some surface rust on them. What is the best way to remove this? A hot tank? Help me out. Thanks guys

Wire brush. Got to Home Depot and get the wire Brush you can put in a drill.
