Raising redline?
I was considerig raising my redline on my b20, w Crower 403s and upgraded valvetrain, but the bottom end is stock.
I understand you can raise the redline using Hondata.
I only wanted to get maybe 200more RPM out of each gear... the 403s are certainly making power up there
is this a terrible idea?
will 200 more rpm cause significant wear on the engine?

You need arp everything j/k!!!!!!!
Raising the redline by 200rpm will increase the wear on your bottom end, but it probably wont be that bad. As opposed to raising it by 1000rpms
Well atleast your not like everyone else wanting to rev a stock b18a/b20 up to 9k because you have crowers, because everyone knows it take m22's to be able to do that

all this for only 200 rpm?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Upgrading the rod bolts is cheap in parts and you need to get them pressed in, but would you want to take a risk or runing your motor to save some cash?

I see what you are saying... and I guess I am trying to be a cheap ***. I try and set a budget to spend on my car each year and I'm at it. I guess this could always be a part of my project for next year, its just that I'll probably do Hondata and get tuning done this year anyway

I'm a reasonable person... if I wanted stupid amounts of power I would have gone turbo... and I would have done that conservatively as well
