usdm vs jdm b18c
I already tried the search!! I have a stock 97 b18c5 in my civic. I want to run some toda b's, and don't really want to take the engine apart and replace pistons,to raise the comp. to the 11.2-11.6 range. And running a thinner head gasket with the stock pistons will on;ly get me to 11.08-1
Should I buy a 98+ jdm swap and run a thinner head gasket, to raise the comp, plus I will get the the 4.75 final this way, and the factory 4-1 header.

Why don`t you run JUN 2 ??
12 sec is not posible with only 200 whp even with sliks, you will need some where around 280 whp with sliks to hit constant 12 sec passes

what the heck???280 to go 12's......280 and i'll be in the 11's..94 civic hatch on a jdm b18c-r...4.785...car weights 2200 w/ driver on 20x8x14 m/t at a track that is 2600ft. altitude...13.6 @99...sea level is .4 faster....so were looking to hit 13.2....180 whp....jun 3 cams in the works....head porting and little more tuning....we will hit 12 with a little over 200whp......see you on the track buddy....
If it matters any... a local hatch with b18c1 swap w/ bolt-on's + 70 shot got 12.9x 1/4 mile time two weeks ago. So, figuring ~150-160 @ the wheel w/ just the engine + 70 shot = ~220 whp on a DX Civic. Remember, that was not an Si HB (which weighs more).
I think with 200 whp, you should be well into 13's but unless you're a super driver with few tricks up the sleeve, you won't see 12's.

old news....in 95....92 hatch on a b18c1 w/ 120 shot ran 11.60's.....your so behind....let the real racer tell you whats goin on nowadayz...we'll be at arizona for IDRC in march....we'll drive the car from L.A. to the track...5 hour drive...run our 12's, all motor street car....if u wanna watch the run we'll hook up let me know if you go.....ok.....no trick up my sleeve.....just racin..
