Default DC header compatabily for 02-04 application on a 05 TypeS

I have an '05 RSX Type S, i want to get the apexi world sport exhaust and some dc headers, i can only find 02-04 applications for these parts, does anyone know if they will fit my car the same? also, any opinons on 4-1 vs. 4-2-1 headers on my car would be appreciated as well as opinions on the world sport or other exhausts, i currently only have a AEM short ram installed, other than that my car is stock. Thank peeps!

not too sure about the headers... i'm thinking they'll work. try contacting a site that sells them and ask. or try crsx.com...

i have the fujitsubo powergetter exhaust on my 05. looks/sounds/feels great. if it wasn't for the great deal i got on it, i probably would've never swapped the exhaust though... the 05's stock system is pretty decent.

Yes they will fit, but it is recommended that you get some motor mounts to prevent the race header from hitting the sway bar. DO you plan on getting stainless steel? All the 02-04 headers and exhaust fit from what I've seen/heard.

DC sports is very poor in both craftsmanship and especially customer service.

Click the link in my sig for the full story.
I dont want to see another person screwed by DC/Aem sports

damn f1nal, i read that thread of yours man, im really sorry about all that, that sucks beyond words, i know there is nothing more crappy than being excited about having a new mod and then having somthing go wrong with it and totally ruining the experience... i appreciate the info though.. i personally have had good luck with AEM products, but then again i have only ordered 2 intakes from them, and have never had to call their customer service.. never bought anything from DC, but until now ive heard nothing but good things about them, your comment is making me think twice though... let me ask you, if you would not recommend DC headers, are there any (preferably ceramic) headers out there for my car that would give about the same performance, for around the same price??as much as i love mod'ing my car, i am on a bit of a budget so i think mugen or anything like that would be out of the question... again i appreciate all the info

u wont find any other race header for the same price as the DC ones...unless u buy it used from ebay..or from someone here....thats the problem u get what u pay for....toda most expensive but heard nothing but good things..whereas DC cheapest heard many complaints...or u can get the SS dcrh....i havent heard anyone talk down on those and thats an extra 100...i only heard people talk down on the ceramic ones...

Which is why I plan on and recommend people who want to buy the dc race header is to get the stainless steel version not the ceramic. TO me personally spending like 800-1000 on a race header for only maybe 2 more whp (dont qoute me on that just from what ive seen on other forums) is pointless. I'd rather spend that money towards kpro or save it for a turbo kit.

so i take it that the problems mentioned with DC headers are happening to people that bought the ceramic ones only? would it be safe to say that a person prolly wouldnt need to worry as much about this problem with the stainless headers, cuz i agree with you about the $800 headers thing.. i find it pointless as well, i can think of a few things i would rather spend my money on....

The hanger breaking is mainly on the ceramic DC race header, but I have heard horror stories regarding the flex pipe on all thier headers ( ceramic, SS, brush).

DC race headers range around 350-450, comptech is another brand you should look into. They are great company with excellent customer service and thier performance is great. They range around 700-850 for the header.

I just dont want anyone else to have to go through what I went through when I had a problem.

Stay away from DC/AEM sports and you should be fine.

Look into comptech, toda, mugen. A bit more, but you are paying for more then just the header. Customer service and quality is what you want.

weeerrdd... well i ordered my world sport exhaust this morning, shoudl be here hopefully by the end of the week. im thinkin i might go with comptech for the headers now, i found out that one of my friends is a distributor for honda and get get pretty much any part for like mad cheap, he said that he could prolly get me comptech headers for around $450 or so... that'll prolly be another month from now though, i gotta pop the dent the exhaust put in my wallet first then its header time!
