I just swapped out a buddies vx motor with a d16z6. We used the VX wiring harness and everything plugged in fine except the o2 sensor. We left the o2 sensor unplugged since it does not plug in with the vx o2 plug harness. Does anyone know how I could wire the d16z6 o2 sensor manually into the ecu or something? We tried the VX o2 but it threw a code so I'm guessing I'll have to manually pin the o2 wires myself.

Tried the wiring they mentioned in the link above, it still threw out a code. I havent tried wiring strait to the ECU but do you guys think it would matter? Could my O2 sensor also be broken? Anyone else done this before? Couldnt I just use the stock VX o2 sensor and convert it to 4 wire or something?

 

easiest way to do this swap is to use the ex/si engine harness... it all plugs up... you will have one extra plug from the vx chassis harness... in that extra plug there is an orange wire with a blue stripe... that is your o2 signal wire... you will have to unpin it from that plug and look at the other plugs that are plugged up... on one of them you will have a rubber plug on the vx side of the harness and on the other side you will see a white wire... that is the o2 signal in the ex/si harness... just repin the orange/blue wire into that empty slot and youre done... much easier and cleaner than hardwiring
