B20Z into a G2 Integra
Im interested in swapping a b20z into my 1990 Integra GS and going b20vtec in the future. But just for now I want to swap in the b20. I have a few questions that I have been unable to find answers for.
1. My car has a cable clutch tranny. I'm pretty sure the b20z has a hydraulic tranny. Is there an inexpensive solution to use the hydraluic clutch in the G2, or is it a better idea just to use the GS tranny?
2. ECU and wiring harness - Will any modification to the wiring harness have to be done to use the new motor? I plan on using TurboEdit to tune with the OBD-0 PR4 ecu. Is it possible to just use my GS intake manifold, injectors, and dizzy?
3. Motor mounts - will the b20z bolt right up to the existing mounts, or do I need any other mounts?
No one at G2IC has been of any help yet either. I figured I would brave the h-t

the only way to use a hydro trannie is to get a cable to hydro conversion from hasport. whihc is about 400 do your better off just using a cable trannie.
please get a b16 trannie and not the super long ls trannie. it will make all the differance in the world
2 yes you will have to use a obd0 dizzy and a pr4 ecu as well as your stock im and injectors which all bolt up
3 yes you use the stock DA mounts and they all bolt up
4 i believe there is some wireing and different sensors in the block
for example
the coolent temp switch or aka fan switch. it senses when the coolent is hot enought and turns on the fans. obd 0 is in the block. its the green thing on the back of the block with 2 prongs.
but on the newer cars such as your b20 motor the fan switch is on the therbostate housing and its a different plug with only 1 prong
so i assume you have to do some kinf of wiring
