Default Help with b18a swap.

My buddy has a 92 eg with a d15 auto and were looking to swap in a obd0 b18a1 out of a 91 integra. My question is what kind of wiring issues will I run into. I think everything should plug into the stock eg harness except for the dizzy, right? I understand you can get a adapter from rywire but will I have any other sensors or anything that wont plug up? I plan on running a chipped p28 and eventually going lsv, I already have a vtec head.

Im also getting the tranny, shift linkage, clutch reserve, mounts, slave cylinder, peddle assembly, and all the hard lines for the clutch. All these thing should bolt up no problems right?

I appreciate the help. Thanks, brett

Im also wondering, I forgot to look if it was even a hydro clutch. Will a cable clutch bolt straight up?

that motor comes with a cable tranny. unless you're getting a hydro tranny for it then thats the preferred route. also look up hasport for conversion mounts for auto to manual b swap. you could use the car's harness but you'd have to switch out all the plugs for the ones that need to go on the motor for obd0 so you can just plug in the p28. if using the motors harness then you need a jumper harness for the ecu.

Ok say I find a ls out of a 94 integra would everything bolt up assuming I get the integra axles, mounts, etc.. I dont really understand what your saying on this obd0 91 ls. So if I had both engine harnesses I could just switch the sensors or connectors with the obd1 counterpart? and then it would plug straight into the eg engine harness hookup (where it runs through the firewall and into the ecu). I cant use the integra mounts? Does The auto eg have a specific mount only for the auto tranny?

wrong. EGs are obd1, while a 91 DA is obd0. Connectors won't match up and it sure as hell won't be smog legal.

But I could switch the connectors from the obd0 harness to the obd1 harness and it would work? Or would the voltage on random sensors be all ****ed up.

There are pinouts online so that you can rewire it, yes, but I'm not sure about the sensors. Obviously you'll need an obd0 b18 ecu as well. Truth be told, it sounds like a giant pain in the ***. why not sell the motor and buy an obd1 motor/ecu so you can just plug it right in?
