unable to start built motor tried everything??
so i am down to two things 1. some sort of ignition problem or 2. i am not getting enough compression for some reason. so my question is how much compression is needed to start the engine? i know the rings aren't set but one cylinder is only getting to 70psi.
check if u got the tps and the map sensor switched around. if they are plugged correctly check compression. u should have at least 140-150 minimum to fire up. if 3 of 4 cylinders are good and one's bad, it should still fire up. did u swap heads? if u did, u will need to do valve adjustments. check ur injectors for cracks. i had similar problem with my built civic. i had 2 injectors that were cracked, causing my car to run like ****.
but before we can help, u gotta tell us if ur car turns over, or hear click-clicks, or what? tell us more than "it doesnt start".

the engine cranks and spuders a little. i am getting fuel (5 mon. old) and spark. timing is on. 1st cyl. 90psi, 2nd 60, 3rd 90, 4th 120.
check your valve lash...fuel - unscrew banjo bolt and see if fuel sprays out while turning the key to the ON pos. You need 90psi for an engine to start..
with those compression numbers your valve lash might have the valves opening at different times, leaking cylinder pressure..
