my hatch radomly throws code 4 after swap
after i put my swap in, boosted dohc zc, i get a code 4 (crank angle)about every 15-25 start ups. i am running obd1 with the jkobd harness and evrything is wired correct, my car runs really well other than the code 4 problem. any ideas what could be causing this?
You have a service manual? If not, you need to locate one. There are procedures outlined to diagnose the crank angle and cylinder position sensors.
First, try resetting the ECU. Then you need to check the resistance between 2 pins on connector 6P on the dizzy and B10 and B12 on the harness. Kind of hard to explain as you need a picture to see what pins. But you're looking for between 350-550 ohms and you need to check for continuity to body ground.
