Can someone post a pic of ITR lugnut?
Just got some 2001 ITR rims.
I still don't know which lugnuts to use because I have gotten a few different answers from all around. Asked honda, acura, hondatech, ppl with 5lug, etc etc.
so, can someone take a pic of a STOCK ITR lugnut and post it? please help me out, i got my car on jacks, and 5lug setup, but im not putting the rims on until i know 100% which lugs to use.
THANKS!!!!!!!!

it uses the same exact lug nut virtually every other Honda uses...</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yep, very short and quite light for a stock lug.. Cheep they are not though...
The last time i replaced a few worn ones they were 12 bucks a piece from the dealer.

the oem itr wheels use "acorn" style lug nuts. the mating surface is rounded. a "tapered" lug nut (not to be used w/ the itr wheels) has a conical mating surface. look at the wheel and you'll see that the surface is rounded.
here's a few pics albeit with a cheapy camera phone. my canon broke.

thx for those pics.
so im suppose to *NOT* use those slightly longer acorn style lugnuts thats a long cone shape?
cuz i have those lugnuts in your pics, but the guy at the tireshop said those were the wrong ones.
so, youre running those lugnuts on YOUR itr right?
if so, i'll just use my short acorn ones.
ACURA wanted 8 bucks a PIECE for each lugnut. $8X20 = $$$$$

"You can get lug nuts at your local Autozone for $1.19 each. Ask for part number 99913. That's the part number for lug nuts with the ball-shaped seating area that you'll need for the ITR (and all Hondas/Acuras)"

While many aftermarket alloy wheels are designed to use your car’s original lug nuts or bolts, others require new hardware. It may be something as critical as differences in the wheel’s lug seat design as shown below, or something as simple as shorter lug heads to allow the wheel’s center caps to fit. If your new wheels require new hardware, your invoice will list the appropriate quantity identified by our part description, beginning with an "N" for lug nuts or a "B" for lug bolts followed by the size, pitch, seat design, length and the appropriate lug wrench socket size.
NOTE: Keep a set of your vehicle’s original lug nuts or bolts in the trunk just in case you ever need to use your spare tire.

Excellent advice. And sounds very familiar, for some reason...
If you get them anywhere else, make sure they have the ball-shaped seating area. Incidentally, I find it's sometimes easier to feel for the ball-shaped seating area with your finger than to see it with your eye. FWIW.
I really don't think there's any significant difference between the Honda lug nuts and aftermarket ones. But if you want to get the Honda brand, I can't understand why dealers are charging $20 or even $8. The part (part number 90304-SA5-013) lists for $5.92 and places like Delray Acura sell them for $4.75 each.

Interesting and OT - who else besides Volvo uses lug bolts as pictured? I think BMW does, not sure though.

I wonder when they all changed. My '83 Volvos have lug nuts, as did my '77 Benz. My '99 Volvo has bolts, as does a friend's '84 BMW. Very odd.

I'm not sure if the '99 Zanardi NSX lug nuts are black; they might be. But it would be easier to ask your dealer for the lug nuts from any '91-96 NSX, which were definitely black as well. Part number 90304-SA7-811. List price is $5.22 each, Delray Acura price is $4.19.

Here is a better pic, but still not focused well:

LMK if you need a better pic.
You want the ball-shaped one on the RIGHT.
You do NOT want the cone shaped one on the left.
Note: The lug length and whether it is open-ended or close-ended do not matter. As long as the seat of the nut is ball-shaped (rounded), it's ok.
And yes, +2 - Get them from Autobone, Hep Boys or whatever. That's why people spend $ for Volk, etc. nuts. Much lighter, colors, bling, and same price as the stealership for stock.
