What kind of gas mileage do you get?
Be sure to list whether you have a 4 or 6 cylinder engine.
I have a 4 cyl '99 Accord LX with manual transmission. On the interstate, driving in the mid 70s, I get around 33 or 34 mpg. In the city, I really don't know, but I'd guess around 25 to 27.

96 ex 5 speed sedan.
full tune up as of aug 04 and i run 87 octane and pure synthetic oil..126,067 miles..completely stock. and i do alot of traveling so i check my mileage often.
best ive got was 34 mpg interstate driving and 29 in town, driving like a granny.. ive got 472 to a tank b4..but i ran out on the way to the gas station
(stock 15's)
now,after the 18's..
dropped to 31.5 hwy and thats being passed by grannys! 26-27 in town, though that varies.
but just normal driving i get 28-29 mpg hwy and i dont even care to know what the city is. mpt is anywhere from 370-400 b4 the light comes on.
so if your only getting around 20 mpg..i know an auto is gonna get less but daeem..do a tune up and watch your foot. car and driver said were suppose to get 32 hwy and 28 in town (5 speed).

I see I am a little low. The thing is that I really don't beat on it. I have no mods, I just did wires, plugs, dis cap, dis rotor, fuel filter, new intake filter...........do you guys have any other ideas to increase mpg?

95 lx 4 cyl rough estimate is 350 full tank (city and hw mix) so about 20 to the gallon...i havent had the money to do it the ryte way to find my MPG yet, which is fill the tank drive a 100 or so miles, fill it back up, and divide how many gallons u needed to refill it and ur miles u driven
1994 accord lx auto 131K miles 24.5 average mostly city driving with A/C on pretty much the same with it off.
I can go about 480 miles on 14 gallons of gas on the the highway driving at 75mph. Gas tank on 5th gen is supposed to be 17 gal but I have never been able to get more than 14 in even when it is on E

yeah seriously, what is the tank size for 1995 Accord LX automatics?
i get like 300-350 a tank, running premo...which seems to do nothing for the car, but i dont care because my company pays for the gas..i would think
she should get better, everything is tuned to the T
but i never replaced my fuel filter

97 coupe f22b2......pretty much stock 15's.....last time I checked it was about 27mpg but that was lots of city with the a/c on a lot... I have gotten at high as like 34 with all highway driving.
Ok I have a couple of things.
To the guy complaining about the engine code I understand. But I BELIEVE the 94, 95, and 96 only came with the 4 banger. the 97 was released with the v6 as an option. Again, I BELIEVE this is true.
Another thing is, the guy who replied with the V4 engine is a supreme custom engine maker. I've only seen V4s on outboard marine motors.
Sorry, i guess I'm coming across as a dick.
My 2 cents is this. My 94 accord, 5 speed, f22b2, Intake, Header, Muffle, Pulley's, 14" steelies, no 02 sensor, gets 26.5 in the city. On the interstate I got around 28. I get roughly 400 mpt in the city before fill and about 420-430 on the highway. I fill up ONLY when the gas light comes on and once I waited a while afterwards and when I filled up I put in 16.7 gallons. I'm pretty sure we have a 17 gallon tank.
As to the person asking what he can do to get better milage, change your tranny oil (i think you said you had an auto) and run a fuel SYSTEM (not injector) cleaner through one full tank, maybe two. You can also try and clean your throttle body plate with a throttle body cleaner.
Another guy said sea foam. I have a can of this and I use it to break things free (I.E. rusted nuts and rusted on rotors). How the hell does that help with fuel economy?
