K, here's the deal. Me and my bro recently put a swap into his car. **D15B VTEC** and we got everything hooked up right... for sure. What happens is that the car doesn't go into gear with the car on the floor, but when it's in the air, goes in fine. Yesterday we replaced the tranny with a working tranny and put a brand new clutch in it too, but still the same problem. We're still running the cable so we didn't do the hydro conversion that Hasport offers.
Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is that there's too much play in the clutch cable. *not running the brackets to hold the clutch cable from having play* Do you think there would be that much play?
Lookin for your two cents on this? If you don't know, hook it up with a bump and maybe someone will know the answer or options for me to check when i get home from work. Thanks..

Hmm, when I replaced my clutch, I had the wrong pp/flywheel and it would the same thing. Problem was that the clutch would engage in the air because it was barely touching the fly, on the ground it would just sit there like it was in neutral. Also, the cable might not be letting the clutch fully engage. Check the cable, and recheck the fly/pp and see what happens. Also check to see if the axels are seating fully, they may seat in the air since the axels are on an angle, but if the cars slammed it might not be making full contact with the inner tranny splines.

Thanks for all the info. I've actually checked all of that stuff. I even pulled the old f/w off the motor that was previously in there, but still, no go. I know the clutch is fully engaging. Axles are seated in fully. Iono man. still scratching my head on it.

you mean the bracket that lets you adjust the tension. its mounted on the tranny close to/above where the cable hooks up if so, yeah, that has to be there for the clutch to work

turn the clutch cable adjustment until its super tight. There should be some resistance at the pedal.
Same thing happened to me, it worked when it was on stands but when I started the car on the ground I almost drove into my house...

no buddy, the one that used to be on the valve cover that holds the line in place, not the one that's where you adjust the clutch.
