Default HOW DO U TAKE OFF THE VIN PLAT ON EG DASH ???

Hi does any one no how to take off the vin plat on a eg dash??? i want to swap it on to my new black dash......Please help me thanks

they are rivits. you need to pop them out.
not reusable too FYI. also a special rivit that cant be bought if i remember.

that's not going to be easy. The whole point is to put them on so the won't be changed.

yea nomatter how you do it it wont look oem. unless you have the correct rivit gun

Just drill the heads off. Be careful not to gouge up the tag. install them on the new dash with 1/8 inch pop rivits.

I hold them with some vicegrips from underneath and drill from the top.

drill them out from underneath of the dash. then re-install the plate using 1/8" rivits. if they dont work, just use rivet washers on the back side of the dash.

It's not a screw, it's a rivet. Get a new one.

if you can cut off the bottom of the rivit, then when re installing it on to your new dash, glue the bottom of it so it holds, thats what my friend did, and you can tell anything was done.

I just drilled mine out from the top when I did a blach dash swap. Then re-riveted it on.
