Default Just got in an accident!

Went up a highland resort for a drive tonight. when coming downhill i drove slow like i always do.
Suddenly i see what seems like oil on the ground, cant avoid it since i have a car right at the side behind me. Did not step on the brake or gas and car just went sideways! Bam! All this happend doing 50-60km/h.

Lucky the car is still drivable but the steering barely turns and i think the brake caliper is stuck on the rotors making a stinking smell as i go downhill.
Had to drive 100km home and it took me 3hrs.

I took some stops along the way as i was still in shock and staring to get dizzy and body was shaking all over........

I'm home now and from the looks of things my CTR headlights might be cracked, radiator and front part is toast. Front bumper is gone and so is the hood.
My Mugen intake at the bottom part is somewhat crumpled but still usable i think.

Thank GOD i wasnt hurt in anyway.......i know this is the ITR forum but i surf here 90% of my time at HT.......damit i cant sleep right now and its 3am.

I just feel like crying.......my pride and joy......

I will try to have pics tomorrow when i get it towed to the workshop.

That sucks! Glad you are ok, cars can be fixed! Sounds like it might be a relatively simple repair(hopefully). Good luck

Did I offend you somehow? I simply asked a question as to why his post was applicable here. His way of labeling the CTR headlights, implies they were added and the car was not an actual CTR. So I asked why the post was in here.... quite simple.

Looks like it can be fixed. How are the panel gaps? I have some Civic EX headlights I can sell you. (Hopes to be a trailblazer for exporting USDM parts )

although it looks pretty bad now, i'm sure that can be easily fixed and returned back to her original state. it does suck, but accidents happen. good luck.

Lip and grill look salvageable. Perhaps even the headlights - though they might be scuffed/cracked - I can't tell. You can pick up any 99-00 Civic OE front bumper cover, a hood, rad-support, front re-bar and fenders for cheap - probably even at your local wreckers. Paint it, put it back together on your own, and you're set.

Just came back from teh workshop, without raising the car only the grill can be salvaged.
Front bumper and lip is gone. The headlights are all cracked in pieces from the back.

Will see how much insurance pays i might end up getting a CF hood and replica CWEST bumper. Used CTR headlights.

Thing is with the insurance policy here, cars after 5yrs will not get new parts pricing. The money payed back are based upon used parts and only will pay for new parts when used cannot be sourced.

damn, that really sucks. whatever though, they will give you some money to go towards an excuse for giving your front-end a different look. btw, check out the backyard special bumper, i think that you may like that one as well.
