ok, got the swap running good (or so i thought). it runs fine when cold started, but after it gets to temp while im driving (doesnt do it if not driving) when i push the clutch in to stop the car the engine cuts out, doesnt spudder, just dies.... then when i restart it it will fire up with no problem except the idle will be low and rough. TIA

P.S. i got a CEL today after about 15 mins of driving... it never threw a code while it was just running in my driveway no matter how long it ran for..

ok, pulled it... code 23?? isnt that the knock sensor?? im confused... help!

I also noticed the exhaust cam jumped 2 teeth on the timing belt... so hopefully that will help the problem...

 

yeah, 23 is knock sensor and that isn't the source of your problem.
If your timing belt jumped teeth that is probably your problem.

 

ya, i fixed the timing belt, and it still does it every now and then if i push the clutch in at higher RPM's (2k and higher) once it hits 1k and i push it in, its fine... i dont know...

 

maybe check out the IACV. That can cause strange problems around idle.
