Heres the situation guys. Installed a Type R throttle body and had a obd0 manifold portmatched to the T/B. I put the manifold on my 2000 b16 did capped off all the un need vacuum ports on the manifold and now it seems like the car is making less power? there are no vacuum leaks and the motor runs fine? But at feel throttle it just feels like its lagging(just a little) hmmm anything i should be checking?

The increased diameter of the throttle body and intake manifold opening leads to a lower air velocity which leads to less power. In other words, your engine isn't pulling enough air to take advantage of your modification. What you need to do is get a big cam or some forced induction.

did u get a new gasket for the tb?

 

messing with throttle bodies isnt fun..

While this could be the case, it could also be a tuning problem. Slapping a part on your engine that effects flow usually requires proper tuning to reap the benefits.

 

you need more hp to take advantage of a bigger throttlebody what you go? 70mm? and you ahve like intake headers and exaust?

 

actually i have i/h/e and type R camshafts

 

did u buy a new gasket or used the old one? if u used the old one pieces may have scraped off when u took it (TB)off causing an air leak causing ur car to suck big ***** hehe their only 5$ from honda

 

i didnt reuse any gaskets, they are all brand new. Would the iacv cause any Horsepower loses?? if it has a slight vacuum leak? just wondering but mines isnt leaking?
