which tires for my SSRs? 225-45-r16 or 215-45-r16?
got me a set of new SSR type Cs, but cant decide on the tires.
my wheels are 16X7.5 +42 offset 5x114 on my 96GSR w/ type R 5lug.
At tire rack the available tires I want are either the 215-45-R16 Dunlop D101s for $107 each or 225-45-R16 for Yokohama ES100s for $95
Which is a better tire and which one would rub on my car when dropped?
Info is appreciated.
Thanks!

depends on what your cars designed for. In my case I would get the 225 and deal with the slight amount of rubbing for that larger contact patch. If you don't need that get the 215.
a 215-45 will be stiffer than the 225-45 (better turning)
the second number (sidewall) is in relation to the the width of the tire
