i can get a skunk2 IM for cheap and am wondering if i would see gains with just I/E on my D16y8. i plan on getting a cam in the near future aswell (header is last..dont ask) will my D benifit from the skunk2 IM before i get the cam? or should i wait to get the cam first?

 

Well, on My b16, I got eh blox racing intake mani, basically same thing as the Skunk2, and I noticed that my VTEC sound got a bit deeper in tone, and the power band feels smoother, and VTEC engagement feels much smoother..no more jerking when VTEC kicks in..its a nice smooth transition now. I think it will have similar benefits on the D16y8. You get some gains, but you notice it once VTEC is engaged...prior to it, it feels the same.

 

for a sohc..... for a d16z6 sohc i had with boost i felt a lot of torque and high end!!! i felt some noticeable gains
