do u plan to race a quarter mile or more.....superchager will put u up there bcuz it kicks in the lower rpms....turbo however dependeing on the setup kicks in later in the rpms.....5 right b4 vtec....so yeah

Turbo! Super is kewl, but is more of a bitch to install. Turbo = easier install + more potential. Super can only boost up to 14 psi with a jrsc. that's pushing it n ya have to change all your pulleys n stuff. turbo, depnds on how much u build ur motor, but 25+ psi is can be done. 500hp daily driver. Good luck. Post pix when ur done.
supercharger is the best way to go, if you want a daily driver and something easier to maintain than a turbo. i have a supercharger on my B-series motor and its great.
go with a turbo, superchargers are good for bigger engines, not little hondas. a v8 can handle a supercharger easily but on a inline 4 it is like strapping a big AC to the thing....
turbo has higher psi potential and uses the waste from the engine to make power, so there is not extra strain

Supercharger is easier to maintain. You don't have to leave your engine on for 5 minutes after you get somewhere to let the turbo and maniflod cool down. But, that's about it. Get a turbo timer, and you don't have to worry about it. Supercharger on the d series got me close to 200 hp, but that was with i, h, e, 65mm throttle body, 310cc injectors, fmu, wires, plugs etc etc. plus, I had an extra small pulley on the blower with a bigger underdrive pulley. This enabled me to boost more than normal. But, the JR supercharger can only handle up to 14,000 rpm internally, so i was pushing it. If you do this on a Bswap, you'll get over 200 hp at 6-8 psi no prob, but then your stuck if you ever wanna go more than that. With superchargers too, you gotta worry about your belts braking n stuff, but that's about it.
I got some frenz that are daily driver turbo, and they got no complaints, no worries. Just run synthetic and change oil every 3000 miles for either application.
For civiccpedx, u r right abou all that, except for the part about strapping an ac to it. Superchargers do take a little power at low rpms to make power, but that is offset quickly by the power that the blower makes once it is spinning. There is a tiny bit of lag, but nothing like turbo lag.
Whichever way you go, you'll be pleased with forced induction. Just know the limits of your motor. If you want longevity, don't go more than 8psi on all stock stuff. More than that, you'll start getting leaks and broken stuff like what happenned to my car. Gud luk!

turbos: require more maintenence (sp?), easier to install, runs off of the exhaust and does not drain power, kicks in full around 4-5k
super: not as much maintenece required, a little more difficult to install, runs off of pulleys so do get more psi u need to change pulleys, drains power, and the power is constant.
its all about preference

Superchargers are good for lower RPM cars, as where turbo is better for a high RPM car. Because of the Honda's higher redline, RPMs you should go turbo because it spools at a higher RPM.
I would go with a turbo, as most of the others have said. And depending on the boost level you run, you could have it kick in pretty damn early. My dad got a DSM TD05 for me that I'm gonna slap on my D16Y8 as soon as I get the extra money...and I'll probably run it only 6-7psi...
