Crankshaft Sprocket Removal
I'm trying to change the oil seal behind this sprocket but I can't get it off. I know you are supposed to just pull it right off, but it's stuck. Any ideas on how I can get this thing off without damaging it??
Thanks!

Well if your talking about the bolt to get the pully off gonna have to get an impact gun or rent one. If its the pully just tap the front of it with a hammer should come off.

thanks for the help guys, its the sprocket not the pulley. it finally came of with a lot of pulling and jerking. it was justed rusted on. the pully bolt before that was fun, broke a few tools, wasted a weekend... its all over now, thank God!!! But it feels good to be done, and worth the 3-4 hundred I saved

For future reference a 3 jaw puller can and will destroy a crank sprocket and a crank pulley. You need to get a harmonic balancer puller to remove such things when they are stuck.
