Default with the JDM ITR pistons and going from 10.6 to 11.1 will the ecu have any problems with the new com

Just wanted to know if the JDM pistons would effect the ecu. I mean will it still run correct or will it nock and ping because of the different compression? I am thinking of putting them in wile my motor is in pieces. Will any HP be ganed by doing this well any that will be felt?

thanks for any feedback in advance.

Chris

doubt you'd notice a .4 gain in compression... I'd go close to 12:1 or not waste my time if I were you...

12.0:1 is kinda high....on pump gas....b18c5 on itr 11.1:1 piston w/ spoon head gasket and flat head valves will bring you to 11.4:1 almost perfect on pump gas...at 16deg. ign. timing...no detonation....at 12.0:1 you'll need to retard the timing to about 12deg. ign. timing

That's a negative for me, I have close approx. 12.5:1+ dist. timing set at 17 deg. and no knock for me on 93 octane, Eric

you could always get a Hondata stage 2 to set your fuel/timing maps perfectly. That is what I am doing with CTR pistons (12.3:1) and Jun 3 cams.
