This was my 3rd EXPO (Gingerman, Beaverrun 1 & MAM) and I had a blast. I just wanted to thank all of the sponsors and the people that put this together

I also wanted to congratulate all of my students, they all showed noticeable improvements over the 2 days.

A couple of qwik notes, EVO compared to the ITR:

The ITR is still one of the best track ready cars out there.
The EVO is heavy
EVO has torque.
ITR is much easier to drive
ITR is more balanced
EVO is more fun in the rain..........(drift)

I was only passed my SackDZ and the S2000 (not nishant), so I am very happy with the car. It was on the stock tires so I can't wait to get race tires and some coilovers.

(no I was not holding up Chris in the video..........It was an STI)

If anyone has pictures of the EVO please post them here or email me. I didn't really take any at the track.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one.... Ask any of my three passengers on Sunday morning if the R can provide hair standing FUN in the rain.

Wish I ran into you on the track, it would have been nice to see what a good driver can do in one of those things

I wasn't passed by Evil Slink, but I did get passed by jasmadz, The 3000GT (who I also passed later), and Dave Ott in the rain (I suxored in large parts of those first 2 sessions Sunday)

And, a public apology for mixing the STi and Evo in that session. We never met on the track!

that sti had 15-20 cars on him!!

What's all this talk of "pushing" my STi around the track? It was still a little wet and I didn't feel comfortable out there. Yes you were faster. You should be. My car still had stock brake pads and I wasn't able to brake nearly as well as day 1 in the dry.

It's because I was behind you for 4-5 laps, and I was getting a little frustrated because I wanted to catch Sackley I didn't really care who was faster at that point, and under different circumstances (brake pads, track conditions) who knows...

 

evo is wonderful on the track.

 

Matt was kind enough to give me a ride on Sunday in the rain - I have never had that much fun on a track - it was a blast!!! We were literally sidesways through every corner, I couldn't stop cheez'n. With Matt behind the wheel, you couldn't hope for a more fun ride. After that ride, I wanted to go buy an Evo.
