Default My 94 accord ex sometimes won't start in heat, D4 light blinks

When it is hot out my accord ocassionally will not start. The D4 light blinks and the car turns over but just won't start. A few times the car started and quickly stalled out, then when I went to restart it the engine would turn over at a normal rate and would not start. The D4 blinks everytime so it is a transmission problem I think, any ideas?

ignition switch.

when it does not start, turn the key forward, but don't let go, hold the key between the start and on position, if it stays started, then its the ignition switch, other than that....could be the ignition coil in the dizzy cap. goodluck

Check the main relay. Check for stored trouble cades.

my 94 accord does this too. In the owners manual it said to unscrew the gas cap for a few seconds then screw it back on till it clicks. It has something to do with the pressure and the fuel pump and vapor lock. works everytime...give it a try...mine did it last week

rfox.... leaving gas cap loose when you refill it will throw a code on certain year cars but will not cause it not to start
