Default Can shifter cables/bushings only affect one gear?

I'm still troubleshooting my transmission. I'm going to take the console out and see what everything looks like. I can shift smoothly into every gear even at high rpm's. When i'm driving and the car is in 3rd gear, I can feel a vibration/shudder in the shifter. If i lightly push forward or pull back on the shift ****, the vibration goes away. I'm really hoping this is not an internal problem. If synchros were bad, it would be hard to put in gear and grind going into gear even if the clutch is in, right?
Thanks for any help!

If I move my shifter just right...i can feel vibration in any gear. Go test drive a WRX and you'll find all about shifter vibration. I don't think its a bad thing.

When your car is in 3rd gear...and you aren't pushing on the shifter at all it vibrates? Is it like...giant thumps or just a little vibration?

It is not jarring or anything. Infact I cannot even see the shifter vibrating. But if I touch to top of the shifter I can feel it. The slightest tug forward or backward of about 1 millimeter fixes it but the second I let go, it does it again. It only does it between 2k and roughly 4.5k rpm on acceleration. It rarely does it when I'm not giving it gas or just cruising at a constant speed. I'm afraid that vibration is gears grinding together, any ideas on what else could cause the vibration?

Read up on how a transmission works. If the gears were grinding together, you'd hear it. Probably some vibration from the motor is just transferring through to the shifter. Check your motor mounts.
