Default Check eng light, VTEC no longer working

I was driving and the Yellow check engine light came on, had it checked out the code, dont remember exact number, said VTEC folded. Had him reset it, I was a little low on oil, and hasn't came back on but the VTEC wont kick on when I hit the RPM's. Not sure of what the code meant or what I need to do. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW 98 Prelude sedan no SH

did you make sure the oil level is full? vtec won't work if it doesn't have enough oil

Thread is useless with your info. If you gave a code or any other useful information, then you could be led down the correct path on taking care of your problem. Other than that just take it to a mechanic and have them look at it and diagnose it.

The oil level is now full. It still drives perfect but the VTEC wont kick on. I "believe" the code was P 1743 but Im not 100% positive. Just tryin to get some ideas, thanks for the help

Try resetting your ECU and see if the CEL pops on again.
