looking for a direct swap for 89 hatch
i have an 89 hatch. it has had a miss for about the last month. i checked the compression today. #3 has 30 pounds of cranking pressure. yikes. what will be a direct swap into it? its an 89 standard with no power. that is fine by me. i drive a hundred miles aday and need the gas mileage. what other years/models can i swap directly. i just had my knjecotrs serviced and both are in great shape. there are alot of hondas in the j-yards to get but i dont want to get the wrong one. thanks. jim.
Do you want something that will just move you around or do you want performance while you are are it??
Get a cheap D15B1/2 engine for $100 tops
or get a D16A6 Si motor for a little bit more but does have more power.
If you do the A6, then you have to switch your wiring to MPFI.
