1 of my spark plug holes is rusty it has been like that since i got the car never really payed any attention to it.

the engine runs fine no problems at all.

can i clean it? if so how, i dont wanna get any crap in the engine.

the plug second to the right used to be in the rusty whole when i got the car but i switched them.

all other holes are shinny

 

You could try adding just a very small amount of seafoam to the cylinder to see if it would eat the rust away...It did the trick on a car I was working on before...

 

would it be a bad idea to try and scrub it off with a tooth brush?

 

 

You could try it...I've never just scrubbed it off like that...usually an additive like seafoam dissolves the rust instantly...

 

Water probably made it under the spark plug boot. Whats the big deal? Spray a shot of wd-40 in there when you replace plugs, or put a little bit of anti-sieze on the plug threads and dont worry about it.

 

yea i cleaned it out a bit with "rustaway" done deal.
