Default Timing?

Did valve adjustments according to manual.
Now it starts but cuts off after 10-20 seconds of running.
Went back recheck all valve adjustments and still the same result.
What is the problem? Could it be the timing or messed up the valve adjustments??

Thanks

After messing with the idle, the problem seems to have gone away.
Don't see why adjusting valves could cause idling problem.

hmmm wierd......
.
well if you thnk about it...by adjusting the valves...the rockers actually begin to push the valves open sooner than before... and also keep them open just a tad longer..
however this is still tough to comprehend becasue we're talking milliseconds here.

The problem has returned.
It fires up, but if press the gas and let it go then it would shut off/dies. Or just run about 10 seconds and it just dies.
Any idea what causes this and what to check for??
THanks

No body experienced this problem before??
The car dies after a few seconds of running. And it cranks up every time. Feed it gas and it stays running. It dies over when stop feeding gas.
Any idea what should be checked for?
Got some suggestions....injectors' O-rings, fuel pump, fuel filter...etc.
Will be changing fuel filter when it arrives. Checked fuel pump and it is good.
Could it relate to distributor?? Checked the igniter voltage (WHT/BLU) wasn't in specification (12V). But the car fires up every time!!!

You can get a new distributor for less than 200 bucks here on the board. I would try that.

I just replaced mine recently but my car wouldn't even start. It would backfire and holler at me when I would go to start it, but once I replaced it, it runs fine.

Got the distributor exchanged from Autozone and that didn't help with the problem. Car cranks up and dies after about 10 seconds of running.

Ok guys....the problem is that I over tighten the valves. Now that I've readjusted a bit loose for the filler gauge to move in and out....very slight drag.
The car runs fine now.
Thanks for you guys input and suggestions.
