Once Again Titan the first to get the new toys :)
Too bad we don't have a damn honda to test this on. They haven't gotten the supra one to us yet so we got the honda one for fun.

This is a Honda Unit, honda specific, unplug your ecu and your good to go. I believe it has the basemaps to start the car already in it, it comes with the software and port to plug your laptop into it and tune away.

While I havent' been able to personally test this item (everyone around is obd1), I have a feeling it will be much better than the power fc and even hondata (allows on the fly tunning). You probably won't notice it as much with a honda. But say for instance the supras that we specialize in. In order to run high boost you need a ton of electronics to fool the stock computer. VPC,GCC,BCC, Reprogramed ECU, AFC. Well this unit will replace all of the above for almost the price of a VPC. The hondas should see good results with it as well similar to the results seen with honda but without the need to reburn chips all the time, it's on the fly tunning. I am really interested in getting to play with this thing soon.
It is replacement ECU. I have seen it first hand as well. The software looks pretty good. The ECU itself is actually made by a company called GEMS. AEM simply adapted it to use on a variety of cars, made it plug and play, and added a base map. Overall not a bad package for under $1700. I ordered one for my WRX but I don't expect to see it anytime before May or June.

Go Price the Motec M8 Pro I have sitting here and you'll see how cheap the AEM unit realy is for it's functionality,
Yes it controls VTEC.
Yes it controls VTEC.
Hey wes, is that better than a Hondata in terms of ease of tuning? I mean, if i got the AEM, i could just tune it with my laptop computer, as opposed to having a new chip burned for Hondata. Sounds much better to me, am i missing something?
