Default weee 6'5 200lbs, need COMFORTABLE low seat opinions

well just like title, been researching both recaro speed and sport and did not find much, researched sparco torinos... etc.. didnt find what I need. I'd also need to know what else I would need to install them. IE. their rail system, or part of theirs and stockers... etc..

Basically, I am 6'5" 200lbs or less depending on day, probably going to 220 (still thin though) I've got a 33-34 waist depending... (prob 32 in actuality though)

I need a seat I can daily drive as a career in appraisal yippi!.... think 8 hours or more in a car daily, with some 4 hour trips non-stop....

I want absolute comfort for that (which my current del sols do not have in the butt)
However, being tall, and having a EX with headroom stealing sunroof... need the seat to sit as low as del sol seats or more...

Price... eh, Id be getting 2... eventually... so keep it under $1000 each before tax. (any more and I will probably sell my car and get Corolla S if it is comfy... but still tune a hatch later)
I would really like comments on how they fit and feel, and how durable they are. If I get a good estimate on best choice, I can look for someone in ohio to sit in and try it out for myself.

thank you

May I define comfort a little. I drove a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Sedan. Seats felt SO comfy. But after 2 hours of driving, it was such a back cramp cause they were TOO soft, and did not support. A Mercedes C class seats are firmer, so its not like getting on a couch, but you can drive 8 hours, and get out and your back is fine.

Id reccomend going to like a rice store or audio store where they have racing seats, the one piece made with suede and firm pads. Those are supportive, comfy, and a great feel. Only downfall is price, they can get to like 3 or 4 hundred bucks. Most seats for civics bolt in, email them for mounting specs. SOme may mount lower, which I assume you want, no rail raisers or crap, and most use factory mounts. My friend is 6'7" 200lbs fits in my 96 Sedan LX (no sunroof) just fine, however him driving stick requires he be back all the way and sort of lean to reach the shifter (ima get a dual bend in a week or so).

If your going to do that much driving, I reccomend a semi-firm Recaro seat. What you want is overall support, not just for your ***, but lower and mid back, as well as leg support, so not to kill ya on a 4 hour trip. This is much more comfortable, and with some of the new foams, absorb quite a lot of vibration, as much as the OEM seats and more. Ya get what ya pay for, and 400$ seats will be much better than OEM seats, which cost more like 60$ to physically manufacture.

Dude, I hate to say it, but if you are that big and need to be in your car that many hours, ya might want to consider driving something other than a Honda.

And this is coming from a big Honda fan, they are the best choice for most things, but there is no need to be in denial about their limitations.

roger, I did mention if I need to, I will rid myself of civic and get a corolla, pleanty of room for me, comfy, and last as long as honda's basically.... but the thing is, I've put a lot of work in my car to make it a comfy trip car, like audio etc... and spending lots of $$$ to repair the body when drunks decided to bash it, then uninsured driver woman backed into it...

I guess since I heard it again, I will be leaning towards recaros... but I would still like some imput... I have until I will say... beginning next summer I'd say....

you'll need vision super low rails and a racing shell. everything else sits too tall.

S2000 seats, custom weld some mounts to the floor so the chair is on the ground, but the slide will still work. I have some cheap APC's in my Civic right now, on the floor, so nice, and I'm 6'4" and it's a damn nice ride.

I have sol seats as well lol... as I said... but mine are either worn too much on the drivers side bottom, or just plain not going to cut it... Hrm, I guess I can always check out the comfort of another del sol seat somewhere... but I don't feel like ordering a brand spanking new seat bottom if I don't know how it will feel... if it was good feeling though... I would... even at their steep prices.

I'm 6'7" about 200 and I have 2000 Si seats in my 1993 honda Civic Ex. The longest trip I'm been in the car with those seats was a 12 hour trip in one day. They didn't hurt my back the whole time on that trip.

For the track I have a sparco speed seat that I made mounts for so the seat sits back farther. So you might want to look into making new mounts for aftermarket seats if you get some.

I'll vouch for Del Sol seats as well. When I rode around in my stock Civic seats, my head would almost touch the ceiling. But the Del Sol has a much lower seating height.

92-96 Prelude seats work very well for me. They sit lower in a 92-95 civic like the Sol's, and have awesome bolstering & cushioning IMHO.

as I already said..... I HAVE del sol seats in there already lol.... I ono, the more I think about it, I think my del sol driver's side seat bottom is just worn too much... and since they are side sensitive, and at least don't look interchangable between passenger and drivers side... I may end up doing the dastardly soon, at least for a little bit... gasp.... putting back in stock seats... :-(
