ebay cam gear any good?
are they any good? the bolts are on the outside therefore they should be able to handle a great deal of torque. im on engine rebuild budget, and curious. this is going to be a boosted application.......

I wouldn't compromise something as important as cam timing by using that cam gear. You can seriously get a used AEM/Skunk2 cam gear on ebay for about $50-60 if you are patient.

AEM and Skunk2 should be fine if you actually torque the screws to the manufacturers specs. I used Skunk2 and had no problems with the allen head bolts.
That said, buy the GE or the STR gears, the marks are much easier to read than they are on other gears. Skunk2 and AEM have tiny little marks that make it hard to see what you are setting it at.
I would avoid the no-name ebay gears, there's just too much downside if those things don't hold.
