JDM TYpe R engine year

i just bought a JDM type R engine and i would like to know how can i tell what year is the engine ???? anyone pls ?

If the cylinder head is included, there are four circular stamps on the front of the head. The stamp furthest to the distributor side identifies the year, and is upside-down.
