just wondering if it is possible to use the parts (ie. tranny, shift linkage, pedel set, master cylinder) from a 92-96 SRV to to the tranny swap into a 5th gen?

 

tranny for sure but dont know about the rest and by srv you mean a 4th gen lude rite?

shift cables should be the same, i'm also using a 4th gen tranny in my 5th gen lude.

so i can basically get all my parts off the 4th gen that i found at the wreckers?

 

yes, but you will need a 5th gen tranny mount from the dealer

thanks everyone! cuz the wreckers wants 1500 for 4th gen swap parts and 2500 for 5th gen swap parts. Which one would u recommand that i go for, will there be any problems with getting the 4th gen tranny becuz its older and more milege on it?

 

No, it won't matter if you got a 4th gen...Mine is actually a 4th gen tranny and it has less miles than my car being JDM and all (approx 35k miles)...

should i get new clutch and flywheel put on, while i am at it?

 

yep put the good stuff while your in there all i put was a 8lb flywheel and a stock clutch cuz i never drove a 5speed and didnt wanna wear out a good clutch
