starter question.
well earlier today my starter signal wire broke*shitty place racing harness*so we wired it back together for now,it started up a few times then wouldnt.i think the starter went out but just wanted some opinions.when i go to start it up it just clicks doesnt do nothing else...TIA
Try hotwiring it. Get a little jumper wire with an alligator clip on one end, clip that to the starter where the little spade connector goes (small black wire); touch the other end to the positive battery cable and see if it cranks. Oh yeah - and be sure it's in neutral!
I just went through having my '91 CRX DX not start on me. Same kind of symptoms - I got the "click" when I hit the start position on the ignition, but no starter. I hotwired it, it started right up, so I knew the starter was good. Turned out to be the little clutch-interlock switch on the clutch pedal arm - it crumbled apart, so the clutch couldn't give the signal that the clutch was pushed in; hence, no start.
