stupid question..what color would you paint your 88 crx si?

 

glossy olive drab just sounds soo dirty... it gets my vote!

 

Respray the ORIGINAL paint
Spend hours and hours wetsanding the final clearcoats to MIRROR polish

 

no votes for the crv blue? its even brighter than 99 civic si blue. thanks for all the suggestions so far. lets see some more...

Toyota 4 Runner Dark Blue Pearl Metallic Clearcoat

 

olive drab is the color all marine corps gear is (hummers, 7 tons) except id clearcoat it and wetsand and buff the **** out of it.

 

Celestial Blue (stock 90 DX color) > CRV blue.

 

i have zero carpet in the car and im thinking of experimenting with a small square of rhino-liner under the pedals. might look clean.

keep the color suggestions coming. when i say skunk2 satin black i mean the same color as charles madrid's rsx.

when i say crv blue i mean that bright bright blue that came on the late 90s b20 crvs

painted the top of my vtec solenoid and my valve cover olive drab and it looks sick but im up for all the suggestion you can throw.

Semper Fi! But I wouldn't want to paint anything of mine olive drab unless I had an acutal HMMWV.

Sorry I didn't vote for any of those colors. I personally like the darker metallic silver colors. But that's just my preference.

 

yea im not moto or anything but i saw a s13 silvia painted a glossy olive drab with a black roof and carbon hood and it looked pretty wild.

 

Pewter Gray Metallic. Stock Honda CRX color.

Actually, it is the same color. 1st-gen CR-Vs were available in Electron Blue Pearl.

 

i wonder why the crvs look so much brighter.

 

no need to wetsand and buff if u know how to lay clear

 

update: found an old guy who welds old motorcyle fenders back into shape. had him shave:
1. door moldings
2. rear wiper
3.rear spoiler
4. antenna hole.
5. rear window squirter

not a drop of bondo and completely smooth.. used some weird gold colored stuff. i didnt ask. ill post some pics very soon.

its that rubbery spray on bedliner **** that people put on their truck beds. grippy and durable as hell. i thought a small square under my pedals would look pretty good and work well too since i dont have carpet but im just going to get a heel plate made.

 

oh yeah, thats right.. is it expensive? I'd do my whole interior, then when it gets dirty I could just cover up my ECU, and spray all the dirt out like a truck, hahaha

 

you know i htink the elements are like that! those things are as ugly as the day is long tho.

 

Yeah, I'd actually really do the bottom of my car in it though, my car is a beater, I dont care.
