Precise shifting, better launch, less hp lost via drivetrain, better gas mileage (I am experimenting incrase gas mileage with stiffer engine mounts, not inserts), and better throttle -> engine -> wheel response?
The last one could be a "feeling" thing.

i would like to know personally too, but i don't think you'll find a good answer until you ride in a car with those inserts in there. half of the people will tell you it's not bad at all, and the other half have tried and taken them out saying they can't handle it for daily driving. it depends on the kind of person YOU are and if things like that bother you i think.
my question would be, do i use d16 mount inserts (since i've used my original stock mounts) after i've done a b-swap? or should i go for the 99-00 civic si or integra ones (96 ek with b18)

if you used your civic rubber mounts get inserts for a 96 civic.

I have a thread on Hasport engine mount review.
It is true that everyone has different tolerance on what a comfortable ride should be like. It is about how much abuse you can take personally before you snap and say **** it, I am going back to stock.
Lately, I am trying to experience what it feels like without A/C. I rarely turn on A/C and I haven't refilled it in 5 years since I got the car. It is still cold. But in some humid days, in a bumper to bumper traffic, it helps to certain degree. That's the kind of abuse I am talking about.

I put them in the other day and yes they make the vibrations worse but I would much rather deal with a shakin car than a kangaroo (wheel hop) and they made my takeoffs way easier,...not to mention my poor hood (it had dents in it from the engine moving up so much @ takeoff)is finally ok on clearance. I would say that the 35 bucks and 45 minutes it took to have inserts in my ride was WELL WORTH IT!!!!!
Honestly if you have a car with frameless windows it makes the ride really noisy. Mine are the ES and those ***** vibrate everything, The steering column the worst, then windows, then trunk, hood, man it feels like the car is falling apart. But yes virtually no wheel hop. But damn do those steelies spin gotta love 14"s

I have them and just put them in today and holy **** the car feels like death, and when I try to slowly let off the clutch and ease into a casual take off the car shakes violently and feels like the clutch is chattering. I will prolly be going back to stock soon
